We at Chandan Industries manufacture Resin Surfaced Shuttering Plywood against ordinary Shuttering Plywood. Resin surface Shuttering Plywood is Boiling Water Proof (BWP) grade, being PF resin bonded under high temperature and pressure, bonding remains intact even under adverse conditions. Hardwood and Softwoods are combined to achieve optimum bonding. Adequate pressure is applied to make the ply Densier. Shuttering Plys are Densified so that it can bear more load than ordinary ply. Resin coating fills the surface porous with polymer and hot pressing with polymer makes polymer set. Thus surface is polymerized and becomes stubborn against water. (Water absorption reduced to minimum level). This enables repeat use at construction sites. Resin surface Shuttering Plywood can be reused for a considerable number of times then ordinary ply. With proper care in handling, use and storing, optimum usage can be gained. The ply can be adapted to may other uses as well.

Guidelines for Handling

Before fixing / removing the frame work panels, coat them with mould oil. If left unused for a long time, recoat them before the next use.

Handle the panels carefully when fixing them on to the framework. Dropping or dragging them cold damage the face, corners and sides.
After each use and before the removal of the plywood, clean the panels thoroughly with a wetrag, to prevent any damage from the sticking of concrete.

While districting, use wooden wedges rather then metal crowbars to avoid damage to the corners and sides. However, if the panels happen to get damaged, they can be cut and re-sized.
For a longer useful life, liberally coat all the exposed surfaces of the plywood with either synthetic varnish or aluminum paint.
It is better to avoid nailing or screwing through the face of the plywood. Use plaster of Paris / Putty to seal all joints, saw cuts, holes and gaps to prevent cement fromoozing through them.
To prolong the life of plywood, store under tarpaulin or other suitable covers on a clean dry, flat and raised surface.
If one face has been used several times, the other face can be put to use by following the same procedures as listed above.
